Indonesia AIDS Coalition is a community-based organization that contributes to the efforts of improving transparency, accountability and people participation in AIDS programs through collaboration with many stakeholders, both government and non-government. This organization was established in 2011 as a community that encountered hardships in accessing public services, from health service and social service to financial aids especially because of the status of People Living with HIV (PLHIV).
IAC has been developed to be a PLHIV organization that mobilizes people to do some campaigns and advocacies with the aim of fulfilling PLHIV’s and AIDS-affected organizations’ rights from various platforms, both digital and by society. IAC has been also involved in many national AIDS prevention programs and contributed to arranging those programs to be implemented.
IAC believes that feasible and collateral cooperation between government and communities with the endorsement of other partners is a key success to national AIDS response and an empowered community that is free from stigma and discrimination is wished to get involved in the development of the programs.
IAC supporting partners are the Ministry of Health, National AIDS Commission (KPAN), the Ford Foundation, Asia Pacific Network for ODHA (APN+), HIVOS, UNAIDS, Treat Asia and all the partners we collaborate with.
