The communities in Tanah Papua experience high levels of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), including domestic violence, which is influenced by cultural norms, economic disparities, and limited access to support services. Additionally, issues such as HIV prevalence among women further compound the challenges faced by the community. Despite efforts by the government and civil society, there remains a pressing need for comprehensive interventions to address GBV and improve access to healthcare and legal support for women in Tanah Papua.
